Party infighting over Spanish floods stalls approval of new EU commissioners

A cynical fight between Europe’s two largest political parties delayed the confirmation of the EU’s highest officials on Wednesday (13 November).

Six executive vice presidents who will serve in EU Commission president Ursula von der Leyen’s next college and oversee the most important policies for the next five years were grilled by MEPs this week.
